On many of our mission trips we have a number of students attending who are in lower quarters, trimesters and semesters. Many of the students are not yet serving in the clinic of their college. These students are involved in the humanitarian component of our mission trips. They help out at the orphanage in many ways including interacting with the children, participating in soccer and other games and activities as well as taking part in our music program, our arts program and our leadership program.
The chiropractic students will also be provided a chiropractic clinical educational experience provided by Dr. Morgan and Dr. Henri Rosenblum. Dr. Rosenblum teaches chiropractic technique to the students who are not yet in clinic and attending the mission trip. Dr. Rosenblum graduated Palmer Chiropractic College 1988. He has been in private practice over 30 years, worked a number of years with Creating Wellness Alliance/Chiropractic Leadership. Dr. Rosenblum also taught clinical sciences at Life University from 1999-2002 and has served on 10 previous mission trips. Students will be instructed in motion and static palpation including an introduction to joint play analysis and Fixation theory (Gillet) with major emphasis placed on the spinal articulations. Chiropractic analysis as derived from Palmer package will include emphasis on set ups and correct line of drive covering cervical, dorsal, lumbar and pelvic areas. Full Spine, Diversified, Gonstead, and other techniques including non force, light force and extremity work will be addressed along with traction-leverage moves. We will provide the student with comprehensive training in the management of the vertebral subluxation complex as it applies to special populations including pediatrics, pregnant women, geriatrics and management of the physically disabled patient.
